Welcome to Thomas Guy Sub Aqua Club (TGSAC) Est 1986

We are a small but sociable, multicultural and very active club based at Orchard Lisle swimming pool on the grounds of Guy’s Hospital, where you will find us between 7-8pm every Wednesday.

For over 30 years, TGSAC has been training new divers, as well as providing the platform for experienced divers to develop their skills and attain higher levels of BSAC qualifications. There is a wide range of experience at the club, from trainees and newly qualified divers through to advanced divers and instructors.

Club members have travelled to Ireland, Spain, France, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa, Maldives, Tobago, Azores, Portugal, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.

Most of our diving is based on the south coast of England and popular destinations include Wittering, Swanage, Weymouth and Plymouth. For training dives and drills we usually head to Chepstow and Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. For those who prefer warmer waters, we also organise group trips overseas. Home or abroad, you will be sure to meet many interesting critters.

Want to Learn to Dive?

Come along to Orchard Lisle Swimming Pool for 7pm on a Wednesday night for a try dive or to find out more. If you want to learn to dive we’ll be pleased to put you on the next available training programme to become a BSAC Ocean Diver.

Already Qualified?

We welcome experienced divers from all agencies. However, we are a BSAC club and new members from other agencies must convert to the equivalent BSAC qualification. Depending on experience, membership may be subject to assessment by an instructor and further training. All club members must become a BSAC member.

What some of our divers are saying!

“I was worried that I would have to be a fantastic swimmer and would struggle in the water, but it turned out that everything was OK.”

BSAC Dive Leader, Jacob McKenzie.

“Great weekend and fun drift dives! Was a bit rusty getting back into the swing of things but guided until I was comfortable on my own.”

TGSAC Dive Club Member

“Joining TGSAC gave me the confidence to learn how to dive safely and progressively improve my skills on a continuous basis. Being part of a dive club has created so many opportunities to go on fun dive trips!”

Ovié Solomon

“What a friendly bunch of people! The try dive was so much fun, and it has just got better since then.”
